More about Zarish Aslam
Zarish Aslam is a dedicated and highly regarded senior solicitor specialising in all aspects of immigration law. Having practised in this field since 2015, she is well placed to advise on complex matters, particularly where immigration law intersects with human rights and family considerations.
Some of her most successful cases include:
- Successfully secured an Adult Dependent Relative application on appeal, with the appeal allowed on the day of the hearing despite findings that adequate care was available in the country of origin.
- Acted in a deprivation of citizenship matter in which the Secretary of State conceded, resulting in the withdrawal of the revocation decision.
- Successfully represented a couple in an EU Settlement Scheme appeal where they were unable to marry before the end of the transition period.
Zarish has achieved significant success in assisting families to reunite with their adult dependants in the UK. She is also frequently instructed to challenge visa refusals from abroad, including decisions made by entry clearance officers. Her strong professional relationships with barristers, industry experts, and third-party agents assist in ensuring the smooth and effective progression of her cases.
Zarish prides herself on fighting to uphold her clients’ rights and regularly undertakes appeal work. From the outset of each case, she takes the time to understand her clients’ individual circumstances, adopting a careful, diligent, and strategic approach.
Her experience in representing vulnerable clients has earned her a strong reputation as a solicitor who works tirelessly on their behalf. She is particularly known for her excellent client care skills and her ability to guide clients through complex legal processes with clarity, reassurance, and empathy.
One of Zarish’s most notable achievements includes securing a fee waiver for a family of seven, saving them £18,284 in Home Office fees. Following the grant of the fee waiver, the entire family was granted leave to remain in the UK under paragraph 276ADE of the Immigration Rules.
For Zarish, careful listening is central to achieving successful outcomes. She ensures that all relevant issues are fully understood before advising on the available legal remedies, clearly explaining all options and providing frank advice on the course of action she considers most appropriate.
In building trusted client relationships, Zarish places great emphasis on accessibility and transparent communication, ensuring that clients feel supported throughout their case.
Before entering the legal profession, Zarish completed her LLB Law degree, achieving First-Class Honours. She was awarded a scholarship to study for a Master’s degree in International Commercial and Dispute Resolution Law, in which she obtained a Distinction. She subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Bloomsbury, alongside her training contract.
With a strong commitment to staying at the forefront of UK immigration law, Zarish regularly attends professional seminars, undertakes independent legal research, and engages in discussions with specialist immigration barristers.
What our clients say about Zarish Aslam.
All of my interactions with everyone at Reiss Edwards have been excellent. I worked with Zarish on my ILR application, and she was incredibly helpful, insightful, and prompt when it came to answering all my questions. Zarish definitely made this entire process so much easier and clear cut, and I am very grateful to have had her help and expertise throughout it.
I had a very good experience with Reiss Edwards, got my indefinite leave to remain using their assistance, Zarish was very helpful and provided a great service before, during and after the application was completed and successful.
I had a very positive experience with Reiss Edwards. Zarish was very professional and efficient, she made the process for applying for a family visa straightforward and relieved a huge amount of stress. She uploaded my documents and submitted the application - it was so well organised that the immigration officer even complemented the submission during my biometrics appointment. Would highly recommend.
